Osun State University (UNIOSUN) has officially announced the Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening details for the 2025/2026 academic session. Below is a clear guide on who can apply, the minimum requirements, and how to register successfully.
Minimum Scores & Competitive Programmes
- Applicants must score 160 and above in the UTME and choose UNIOSUN as their first choice or be willing to change to the university.
- For competitive courses like Medicine, Nursing, Law, Common and Islamic Law, a minimum of 200 is required.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025 to qualify for admission.
O’Level & Direct Entry Requirements
- O’Level Results: Candidates must have at least five credit passes including English Language and Mathematics in SSCE, NECO, or NABTEB. Two sittings are accepted for most programmes.
- For Medicine, Nursing, and Law, all required subjects must be obtained in one sitting.
- Direct Entry Candidates: Must possess valid ND, NCE, or equivalent qualifications with at least Lower Credit or its equivalent.
Registration & Screening Fee
- Candidates must pay both a portal access fee and a screening fee before registration.
- Complete the online registration form carefully, upload all required documents (passport photograph, O’Level results, etc.), and submit before the deadline.
Deadlines & Important Dates
- Registration closes at 12:00 noon on Friday, 19th September 2025.
- Direct Entry candidates must ensure that their academic transcripts reach the university registrar on or before 3rd September 2025.
Extra Tips for Success
- Ensure your O’Level results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS; otherwise, you may not be considered for admission.
- Double-check your biodata, UTME number, and course selection before submission to avoid disqualification.
- If your UTME score is lower than required for your preferred course, consider switching to a less competitive programme with a lower cut-off mark.
