How to Check the COOU Admission List
Follow these steps to check your admission status:
- Visit the COOU admission status portal.
- Enter your JAMB registration number in the designated column.
- Click on the “Confirm Status” button to view your admission result.
Next Steps for Admitted Candidates
If your name appears on the list, take the following steps to complete the process:
- Accept or Reject Admission: Visit the JAMB CAPS portal to accept or reject the admission offer.
- Print the JAMB Admission Letter: After accepting the offer, download and print your JAMB admission letter.
COOU Admission Requirements
You can gain admission to study at COOU through the UTME or Direct Entry mode. These modes have their unique requirements and any candidate who wants to apply for admission through these modes must meet these requirements. The requirements have been listed below, check and ensure that you qualify.
UTME Admission Requirements
- Applicants must have selected COOU as their first-choice institution in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- A minimum score of 150 is required for most courses. However, competitive programs such as Law, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, and Pharmaceutical Sciences require a minimum score of 200.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the time of admission.
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings. Acceptable results include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent examinations.
Direct Entry Candidates
- Candidates must possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings. Acceptable results include WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent examinations.
- Direct Entry applicants must also choose COOU as their first-choice institution.
- They are required to register for the screening exercise via the “Prospective Student” panel and complete the Direct Entry application for the 2025/2026 academic year.
