Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for NMU’s screening:

  • You must have selected NMU as your first choice institution in your UTME application.
  • Your UTME score must be 160 or higher.
  • You must have at least five credit passes in relevant O’Level subjects.
  • Complete the bio-data form carefully and provide accurate personal data.

Registration Steps & Screening Fee

Here’s how to register:

  1. Complete the online registration form on the NMU screening portal.
  2. Pay the non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000.
  3. After payment, register your bio-data and fill out necessary personal and course-related details.
  4. Print out the screening slip or acknowledgment once registration is confirmed.

Important Deadlines

  • Closing date for registration is 22 August 2025.
  • All steps — score verification, payment, form submission — must be completed before this deadline; late applications are usually not accepted.

Tips to Improve Your Chances

  • Ensure your O’Level results include all required subjects and meet credit conditions.
  • Make sure you picked NMU as first choice, or changed to it before deadlines if allowed.
  • Be accurate with personal data — spelling of names, UTME registration number etc. Mistakes can cause disqualification.
